Adding funds

How do I make a payment from the website?

  1. Go to the website and click on the “Add funds” link in the main menu. The add funds page will then show.
  2. Tap on the “Add funds now” button at the bottom of this screen.
  3. The secure login page will then appear prompting you to enter your email address, this will be the email address that you would have originally registered with us.
  4. Tap on the next button.
  5. You will then be asked to either “Get code and login” or “Login with password”. “Get code and login” gives the option of being sent either a text to your mobile phone, or an email to your email address.
  6. Once password is received, type in the confirmation code and tap confirm. This then takes you to your account page.
  7. Tap on “Add funds”.
  8. You will then have a choice of values in sterling, select what you want to purchase.
  9. Enter your card details and post code, and your account will be credited.

Can I add funds directly from the GlobalCall247 App?

Yes you can. Just click on the “More” button on the bottom right of the screen.

Select the “Add funds” button.

Select the top-up amount.

Then enter your payment details.

How do you protect my credit card information?

The information you submit on the GlobalCall247 App and through the website is protected by the highest level of industry standard SSL encryption.

What payment options are there?

We accept debit and credit cards from Visa and Mastercard.

If you have a problem with making a payment, please contact us by clicking on the chat icon at the bottom of the page and we will assist you.

Managing your account

How do I update information in my account?

In the App, click on menu (the 3 bars on the top left hand corner of your screen)

Then tap on “Profile”

Tap on the pencil on the top right hand side.

Click on any field to edit details.

How do I update personal/contact information?

In the App, click on menu (the 3 bars on the top left hand corner of your screen), then tap on “Profile”. You can edit by tapping on the pencil on the top right hand side.

How do I view my transaction history?

In the App, tap on “More” in the bottom right hand corner of the screen.

How can I check my account balance?

In the App, just tap on “More” in the bottom right hand corner of the screen.

Making a call

Does GlobalCall247 have caller ID (caller identification)? Can the person you’re calling see who is phoning them?

GlobalCall247 does have caller ID functionality. To set this up, tap on the more button at the bottom of the page. Then tap on the Caller ID button. You should then receive a phone call within a couple of seconds verifying your phone number.

How is the quality of calls if wifi connection is poor

We do not have full control over the quality of calls placed over WIFI/3G/4G. If the reception/coverage of a provider is poor, we cannot change that. This is no different to making a mobile call at the moment, where reception/coverage is poor, it will affect the quality of the call.

Please feel free to report any poor quality calls with the following information:

  • What number are you calling from?
  • Which number are to trying to contact?
  • What was the date and time of your call?
  • What is the name of your phone operator?

How do I make calls with the GlobalCall247 App?

If the person you wish to call is in your contact list, tap on “Contacts” at the bottom of the screen, then tap on “All contacts”.

Select their person you want to call, then tap on their phone number – always ensure that the plus sign and international dialling code is included, even when making a domestic call.

If the person you wish to call is not in your contact list, tap on “Keypad”, at the bottom of the screen, then enter the number including the international dialling code, (the + sign will already be loaded), then tap on the phone icon.

Occasionally there might be a short delay of up to 4 seconds before you hear the ring tone.

Where can I find the rates for the countries that I want to call?

Click on the country you wish to call – rates automatically appear on top left under menu or check the page here.

Can I call from other phones using my Globalcall247 account?

You can use any smart phone where you can download the GlobalCall247 App.

Do I need to have my phone service provider enable international calling on my phone to use GlobalCall247?

No.

Is VAT included in the prices?

Yes it is, we have no hidden charges.

How do I view my call history?

In the App, click on the “Calls” button, on the bottom left-hand side to access your call history.

I cannot get through to the person I am phoning, why is that?

Check to ensure that you have included the + sign, as well as the correct international dialling code. Ensure that you have dialled the correct number for the person you are trying to call. If all these points are correct, please let us have the following details so that we can determine what the problem was:

  • What number are you calling from?
  • Which number are to trying to contact?
  • What was the date and time of your call?
  • What is the name of your phone operator?

Can I make a call to a person who is in the same country as me, for example I am in the UK and I want to phone somebody in the UK?

Yes you can. You will still need to enter the dialling code for that particular country, and the rate for the destination country would still apply.

Are calls to premium phone numbers(shared cost numbers) allowed ?

No, these are completely blocked on our system

What happens when I run out of credit when I am on a call?

We encourage customers to check their balances to ensure they have sufficient credit to make their desired calls. If the credit expires, the call will be terminated.

I was able to connect with the person I was calling, however, the quality of the call was not very good, why was that?

About the App

How do I set up a group for messaging?

GC247 enables you to create a group in order to message many people at once.

To create a group, open GC247 and go to the message screen. At the top of this screen, tap the new channel button. Add group participants by selecting or typing the name of the contact. Add a name for the group where it says enter channel name. Tap save when you are finished.

Is the App only in English?

Yes, we will add other languages very shortly.

How do I translate text?

Tap on menu (the 3 bars in the top left hand corner) then tap on the languages you want to translate from and to. Then, tap on messages, and the one in particular which you wish to translate, hold your finger down on this message and it will translate into the desired language.

If I am calling somebody who also has the GlobalCall247 App, is the call free?

Not at the moment; this is something we are working on to change in the future.

What are the charges for using the Globalcall247 App?

The Globalcall247 App is free to download from Google Play and the App Store. There are no monthly charges associated with the app. You only pay for calls you make at the rate given in the App.

Does the Globalcall247 App replace my current mobile service provider or mobile calling plan?

The Globalcall247 App does not replace your current mobile service provider or mobile calling plan. You can choose whether the App uses your data or WiFi (if available).

How do I install the Globalcall247 App on my Android device?

  1. On your device, tap the Play Store icon
  2. Search for the app named Globalcall247 and select it.
  3. Tap the button labelled free, the button will then change to say OK.
  4. Once the installation is complete, the Globalcall247 App should appear with your applications.

How do I install the Globalcall247 App on my iPhone device?

  1. On your device, tap the App Store icon
  2. Search for the app named Globalcall247 and select it.
  3. Tap the button labelled free, the button will then change to say install.
  4. Tap the button labelled install – note – You may be prompted to enter your iTunes password
  5. Once the installation is complete, the Globalcall247 App should appear on your iPhone’s home screen.

How soon can I begin to use the Globalcall247 App after installation?

The Globalcall247 App is ready to use once successfully installed on your device. All you need to do is to add funds before making calls.

My mobile phone is showing 2G in the top right hand corner, however, I cannot get a connection.

Calls can be made using 2G, however, there is no guarantee that the call quality will be of the same quality as from 3G or 4G.
